We get muffins & bagels & donuts on the first of the month, when new hires start. I was able to snag the chocolate chip muffin last time, but it will weeks before I get another shot.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:43 (twenty years ago)

Great. Now I want one.

mcd (mcd), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:46 (twenty years ago)

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:48 (twenty years ago)

I had just finished eating a choc. chip muffin when I clicked on ILE and saw this thread. Unfortunately, it was only a Wawa muffin, though it was still pretty tasty.

o. nate (onate), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:49 (twenty years ago)

Yes, they do. Go to www.deliaonline.com, type in "muffin", and she give syou best muffin recipe in the world. Choc Chip muffins for everyone!

THAT DOESN'T HELP ME VERY MUCH AT THE MOMENT, DOES IT.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:50 (twenty years ago)

Wait - does ILE prefer chocolate chip muffins, or chocolate chocolate chip muffins?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:50 (twenty years ago)

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:51 (twenty years ago)

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:54 (twenty years ago)

It depends on if you're feeling bad or extra bad.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:55 (twenty years ago)

I tried to buy a raisin muffin this morning, but when I got back to my desk, I realized it was actually a chocolate chip muffin. I don't need to feel like I'm eating bad this early!

Dominique (dleone), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:56 (twenty years ago)

Choc chip vs double choc chip?

Chantel, Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:57 (twenty years ago)

Double. More is more is more.

we have chocolate chip/peanut butter ones here at work.

Bastard.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:04 (twenty years ago)

Once at Perkins' after a gig, one of my friends requested that the waitress take a chocolate chocolate chip mammoth muffin and blend it into a shake. It really crossed the line.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:05 (twenty years ago)

I always feel a bit sickly after a double choc chip muffin. Too much of a good thing perhaps?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:10 (twenty years ago)

yes

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:11 (twenty years ago)

Single choco chip is usually enough for me. Also search: chocolate croissants.

o. nate (onate), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:13 (twenty years ago)

Pain au chocolat rules.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:16 (twenty years ago)

kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:21 (twenty years ago)

Double chocolate is kind of gross. But almond croissants...mmm.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:25 (twenty years ago)

I haven't had any muffins from Victory's Banner yet, I always end up getting their famous french toast and soy bacon.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:25 (twenty years ago)

i love pain!!!!

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:30 (twenty years ago)

There's a place in cambridge that sells the best (& most expensive) chelsea buns. They have the sweetest sugary syrup drizzled over them. you seriously cannot eat a whole one without having the most enormous sugar crash about 30 mins later!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:30 (twenty years ago)

TRIPLE chocolate obv rules ok

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 15:30 (twenty years ago)

Jeff Wright (JeffW1858), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 17:36 (twenty years ago)

Currently eating a chocolate choc chip muffin. I am content.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 17:44 (twenty years ago)

how do you stay in shape Ned?

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 17:46 (twenty years ago)

EZ. I walk a heck of a lot, and unlike what certain Friendster-obsessed personages may suggest, I very much vary and balance my diet with juices, fruits, greens, etc.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 17:47 (twenty years ago)

thanks for answering!

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 18:31 (twenty years ago)

You're welcome! Now then, cuisine in Southall...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 18:31 (twenty years ago)
