Mumbled, rushed conversations with the co-worker you have a crush on that make you look like an annoying jobsworth arse - dud or dud?

"Have you prepared (stuff I need to set something up so you can use it) for me yet? I mean, *I'm* not in a hurry for it, it's only a little job for me, but I don't really know whether (your boss) is in a hurry for it or not, so I don't want to ... well, you know what I mean. I just thought I'd remind you. I'm not bothered about it myself, really."

Useful office romance advice, pls!

Ask coworker out for a drink and start a mutual complaining session about all those fiddly little jobs that distract everyone from their "real" work. Then start making out, obv.

haha you can also apply my modifier to Matt's advice. I've had no complaints...

"RUN AWAY NOW AVOID AT ALL COSTS" has actually been my general guideline when it comes to social interaction for most of my life. It gets a bit lonely, though, so I need to try to work out what the alternative might be.

Do the opposite. Run straight at them going "aieeee!"

(Don't actually do that, though)

just to remind everyone, the new series of peepshow starts on friday on channel 4, seems an appropriate thread to mention it :)

Thanks for the reminder :-)

(I do sometimes think that I'd be a good Peepshow character. I've never yet urinated in a co-worker's office, though.)
