Early favourite for The Concept Of The Century?

Perhaps. But as exciting as the concept may be, the delivery still needs a bit more pizazz. Click to see catGazebo.jpg. I see something more on the order of a Mad Maxian Thunderdome - for cats!

I don't understand. How is it different from any other gazebo? is it wee?

kyle (akmonday), Monday, 15 November 2004 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

What a brilliant idea, but do you have to get seperate gazebo's for all the other creatures? It could become problematic.

Two great words that I never would have thought to put together.

The Cat Gazebo Manifesto

We believe, as all right-thinking people must believe, that the cat gazebo belongs to the masses. Yet, up to now the cat gazebo has been the jealously-guarded privilege of the pampered few, our mincing Masters, who bid us toil in the mine pits of despair so they may eat of the fruits of our labours.

This is a travesty. Therefore we call upon egalitarian-minded designers everywhere to throw themselves into the creation of the New Feline Volksgazebo - the cat gazebo of the future! We must not seek to replicate the effete and corrupt cat gazebos of the effete and corrupt classes. Rather we envision a cat gazebo transformed - at once minimalist, muscular, spare and functional, yet decorative enough to merit the proud name of 'gazebo'.

This movement cannot and shall not be denied. It is destiny! The workers of the world shall join hands with the alley cats, the barnyard cats, the mousers of cellar and attic. Together we shall march into the bright dawn of the Land of Tomorrow! Cat gazebos for all!

When you gaze upon a bo
Your dreams come true

estela (estela), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 00:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sure the gazebo was intended to be 12' by 16', but the designer didn't want to look like he'd done a Spinal Tap.

Sasha (sgh), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 05:02 (twenty-one years ago)

ok, so i read this thread title, "cat gazebo" and immediately thought of some word-association text gone wrong, like the interviewer says "cat" and then inexplicably the respondent says "gazebo."

ok, just wanted to share that with everyone.

nine years pass...

I am disappointed this concept never really took off the way it deserved to.
