I must rectify the fact that I have never been to Rugby Park or Almondvale/City Stadium/West Lothian Stadium/whatever it's called this week. I will never darken the doors of the Caledonian Stadium though.

I don't really like football, but between the ages of about 7 and 13 my Dad took me to as many Bolton games as he could, so I ended up going to the grounds of most of the teams that were in the Premier League and First Division at that time. I can't remember much about most of them, except that I liked Molineaux the best. The only ones I've been to in the last five years are Wembley, The Reebox and Ibrox the other week.

As I said on the other thread: Goodison, Highbury, St James's Park (Exeter), the Valley, Victoria Ground, Burnden Park, Deepdale, Selhurst Park, Prenton Park, Wembley.

Anyway, all the other grounds I've been to are Withdean 'Stadium', Molineux, Loftus Road, White Hart Lane, Highbury, Selhurst Park, Upton Park and Stamford Bridge, oh and also Wembley (which - stadiumwise - was a big disapointment. The match was great though, we won promotion against Barnsley 4-2).

I think this demands an explanation.

About 10 years ago I played in a team that got through to the finals of a national competition - it was for works teams and I think was sponsored by The Times and some engineering journals. I didn't even work for the company - I was a ringer because they didn't have a 'keeper. My team won through to the semis and final which were held on a weekend in june. We lost 3-2 in the semis, so just got the one match. I also broke my finger during the game.
