I am writing a screenplay about fantastical fucking on a Caribbean island, and I keep having to stop to jerk off to my research materials.

That is a good sign, they tell me.

adam... (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

i've grown to totally abhor creative writing. i still enjoy meaty researchy stuff with lots of facts.

hockey family (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

It's coming out well.

Remy (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I am lost.

House music is trying to save me.

Save me, house music.

Take a walk, breathe. Do something different with your hands.

let's swap jobs, you can come and write tedious government policy for a while, then you'd love to go back to your feature i'll bet

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:54 (twenty-one years ago)

God, I'm such a fucking pseud. I'm off to drink more wine.

adam... (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:55 (twenty-one years ago)

bah, it's better for you.

Remy (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I still love writing! The process of pitching and searching for agents, now there's the problem.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 05:03 (twenty-one years ago)

It's amazing, with all that CIA work, that you still manage to play professional baseball.

Pangolino (ricki spaghetti), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 05:14 (twenty-one years ago)

It's a strange world.

i know i know i'm a fucking baby....two 12+ hours days at the office are making me grumpy....i've been making a bit more progress in the last half hour.

it's not so much the writing as the deadlines, i guess.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 05:21 (twenty-one years ago)

If I can't clean my writing area sometime soon, I shall NEVER WRITE AGAIN!

I tend to actually get shit done under deadline - left to my own devices, I slump around w/ my hand down my pants (not in a sexy way, ladies) & get eff all done.

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 06:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't "write" ... i "draft."

Eisbär (llamasfur), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 06:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I am writing a sort of Christmas thing for a Bangkok shopping centre, and I just used the word "Metrosexual" ...i always swore I'd never do that.

Paul Kelly (kelly), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 06:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I kinda hate writing lately, too, but it's not writing's fault. I blame my boss. Everything I write, he's like, "This is boring. It needs more cliches." (Well, he doesn't actually say that.) I write ad copy that pretends to be magazine articles. It's fucking depressing.

Kenan (kenan), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 06:23 (twenty-one years ago)

..writing "Seriously, fuck!"

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 06:59 (twenty-one years ago)

A 5000 word feature should take more than two days.

You've Got to Pick Up Every Stitch (tracerhand), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 10:41 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah im bored of writing too. maybe cos i leave it so last minute but fucking hell, im bored of it. im worried its too readily apparent in what i write too. it doesnt help that sometimes i read other peoples stuff and wonder how they still appear to have their inspiration. i think i want a full time boring job and then i can have some hours left to do writing and appreciate it more. thats also cos writing pays shit money though.

titchyschneider (titchyschneider), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

A 5000 word feature should take more than two days.

in an ideal world, yes it should.
