I was still living in milton keynes at the time, and i went there after seeing Urusei Yatsura at the Garage, after tasting that kebab i've made up my mind that I wanted to move to London.
When I finally move here, it was almost like a pilgrimage when I took the tube to Highbury & Islington station... BUT ONLY TO FIND THAT THE PLACE HAD CLOSED DOWN! :( my whole reason for moving here, gone.
But now there's Hillmarton Tandoori to take its place, and King's Kebab at Earl's Court. Crystals are ok, too. Plus Chicken Land.. where once someone walked in, and when asked upon the question "what would you like sir?", answered.. "chicken"

Anyway taking sides: Donor Vs Shish Vs Shawarma.
I'm with Shawarma, but wouldn't say no to the others if they were on offer.

Shawarma is pieces of lamb (or chicken) compressed with (different) spices - such as allspice and mace, cooked on a spit and then usually served in a "wrap" with salad, chillis etc and a sauce made from ingerdiants such as tahini and lemon juice, etc.
