bought me ice cream in japan. they were discussing whether or not charlie chaplin was a genius. and then we went to see francoise hardy perform 'message personnel'.

and then i had to go to a board meeting where momus and others had just signed an all girl punk band called 'gylo'. and then i was back in canadian and all my friends looked like cartoons from family circus and we were all smoking insane amounts of drugs.

Suzy is just about my only London friend of the 90s I didn't manage to wangle a Japan trip for (I passed them all off as roadies and tour managers and things like that). As a result, she's only a member of 'the Japan Club' in her dreams. Or yours...

Nobody got taken to Japan who would have clashed badly with Monseiur Popstar's long-planned HOT PURSUIT of the Nicku-baitu. Duhhhhh.
