I click on the link that says "visit eBay Help" and it says the address doesn't exist.

I don't sell things on half.com. Why would my account be suspended? Does anyone know what the deal is?

That's weird, I got an email from ebay saying my billing information is incorrect and my account would be cancelled if I didn't correct it. I've never had an account on ebay. Possibly some kind of scam.

Dudes, this is most likely phishing. It's a trick to try to get personal information out of you; when you click on the link it's often taking you to a completely different site than you think, where you'll type in your username and password (if you're a member of said site), then they'll take you for all you're worth. If you ever get a suspicious message like this, NEVER NEVER NEVER click on the link in the email. Always--if you think it may be legitimate--go to the site itself manually by opening up a browser and typing in the address window, and logging in the regular way.

heh yeah i've gotten emails like that, but no this actually happens ON the half.com website, I tried to buy something and it said my account was suspended.

Hmmm, see if you can find an address to write to in the help menus. It's possible someone jacked your account. You may want to do a complete scan of your computer to make sure you don't have viruses, trojans or keystroke loggers.

She said, "Sounds like a real man to me;

Dudes, I got something similar and forwarded it to ebay's spoof-bustfin people and they said it was indeed phishing.

If only I could prove that all such spam came from the four members of a band I didn't like much, thus the name of this activity.
