Hurrah! Time for some naming and shaming, as they say. The worst club in the entire world!

― DG, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

New the horror the horror answers!

― DG, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like the 'one of, if not the biggest metal club in the world' description myself.

― Ned Raggett, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Death Club 7! (from their demo's section!)

― james, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've sent our demo out already! Plus, I asked for a copy of 'Do Not enter'

DG think of all those 18-21 year old Nu Metal rock chicks that you can chat up, you can pretend your a fan of "Disturbed" and Slipknot is the bestest band Ever - and don't forget to buy a Papa Roach hoodie.

Freak - it looks thouroughly naff.

Funny, I would have thought that someone in the UK would have said something by now about the fact that it's in Romford.

― Ned Raggett, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

EVIL LUST OF POP BEAST DEEGE

― mark s, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

People in the UK are busy thinking about CURRY, Ned. I will now send you to the website of THE WAREHOUSE! Prestons Alternative NIghtclub! It's FAB especially because I have nevah been there sober. Same goes for Squire s et QUINCEYS on a Monday night. (50p pints and selected spirits b4 10pm, then £1 all night after). They look better than DGs though. Hur hur. I believe the last time I went there I was very sick.

― RickyT, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Blimey, I didn't know RickyT rocked the Preston massif too!

(Okay, it was actually me and I forgot to reset cookies, oops). RESUME NORMAL SERVICE folkXoRs.

Apart from this club and having an Italian fascists' lackey as its MP, Romford is alright :).

― Robin Carmody, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

People in the UK are busy thinking about CURRY, Ned.

How sweet. Send some over? Thanks.

― Ned Raggett, Sunday, 25 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

DJ Martian you are a dirty old man with a filthy mind. Besides, there's a total lack of 18-21 year olds there, the doormen are a bit lazy so it's more like 8-12 year olds. Possibly. That might be a slight exaggeration, but it would seem the Freak DJ's like 'em young...

― DG, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I wish I had done Ned, when my curry arrived it had THREE LYCHEES in it. Ewwwwwwwwwwwww! Apart from that, NUM NUM.

― Sarah, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But there are, like, naked chicks there! How come we never get naked chicks at Strange Fruit?

― Mark C, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

There AREN'T, like, naked chicks there, it's full of 15 year olds with terribly badly dyed hair in Limp Bizkit T-shirts. As opposed to Strange Fruit, which is full of 15 year olds with terribly badly dyed hair in Stereolab T-shirts, ha ha ha.

― DG, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Looks good to me!

― Tom, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, why not come along then Tom? [As FatNick would say, I R calling his bluff!]

― DG, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm not cool enough, DG - I'd get all embarrassed and shy.

― Tom, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pah! I thought so.

― DG, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll come with you deeg, i'll even bring the missus. can't beat a bit of metal ;)

― carsmilesteve, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That's true, you can't beat other bits of metal, but I would quite like to beat this particular bit of metal with a large and splintery telegraph pole.

I am now going to sulk about people being rude about female Strange Fruit clientele who look fifteen, have strangely coloured hair and wear Stereolab t-shirts. WAAAAAAH. It's not dyed, who'd CHOOSE to have hair this colour? And I have ID! *sobs*

― Rebecca, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

fourteen years pass...

Police who staged a mock attack featuring a bomber shouting "Allahu Akbar" have been forced to apologise for racial stereotyping.
