Ghoulish rocker Marilyn Manson is in talks to play Jesus Christ in an upcoming film, reports MSNBC.com.
The shock rocker - whose controversial lyrics and stage antics have made him the target of some Christian groups - is being tapped to play Christ in the upcoming film “Diamond Dead,” obviously a far cry from “The Passion of the Christ.”
It’s a dark comedy about a rock band that makes a deal with the devil and - according to an excerpt of the script posted online - in the film, Jesus smokes pot.

trendkill67 - 8/12/2002 5:46:37 PM
Incidently, just for the record, I heard that Manson had the last few ribs removed from his cage in order to blow himself!!!!!! I'm sure that bullshit...unless he is VERY flexible and has a 15 incher!!!!! LOL!!!:)

trendkill67 - 8/12/2002 5:44:11 PM
I think Manson has some cool shit! I think his Antichrist Superstar cd was his best (probably due to Trent Reznor being involved)...although Holywood is pretty decent. I won't order the pay-per-view, however, I bet he has a KILLER stage show!!!!!!!!

GeneralRoachkof - 8/12/2002 4:17:48 PM
I already paid $15 dollars to see the show, I should get it since THE GENERAL was in the pit, grabbing some cunt and smoking dope!!!!!

VicRattlehead502 - 8/12/2002 2:46:35 PM

Marilyn Manson isn't a scary as he used to be. Isn't as mean as he used to be either. He needs to start sucking his dick on stage and kill animals and have sex with them too, cause its kinda getting old.

MikeMaue - 8/12/2002 8:18:37 AM
Marilyn Manson ?? Who cares ??

He took a little puppy dog that was only 6 weeks old, and tossed it into the audience, encouraging kids to rip it to pieces and then smear the blood all over one another, which they gladly did. He said he dreams of the day that he can take a little baby and do the same thing to the baby. He has asked audiences at his concerts if they have ever eaten babies.

The "long greased pole" to hell. hahahah.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Wednesday, 1 December 2004 07:42 (twenty years ago)

Kurt Corbain too?
All Apololgies & NIRVANA

Kurt Cobain is one of the worst ANTI-CHRIST, blasphemers since John Lennon. Kurt Cobain decorated his home with blood-splattered baby dolls hanging by their necks! Look inside of Nirvana's album In Utero, which is the album contains "All Apololgies" from, is pictures of chopped up babies! Cobain ran around his neighborhood spray-painting, "ABORT CHRIST" and "GOD IS GAY". Cobain's first band was called "Fecal Matter". (Des Barres, Pamela, Rock Bottom, pp.54-55)

According to Mojo Magazine (Sept. 1999, p. 86), Kurt Cobain was, "obsessed with Anton LaVey". Satanist Anton LaVey was author of the Satanic Bible and founder of the Church of Satan. Cobain was so "obsessed" with LaVey, he tried to get LaVey to play cello on Nirvana's Nevermind!

latebloomer (latebloomer), Thursday, 2 December 2004 02:44 (twenty years ago)

whats the "now I got my wings and I never even knew it/when i was a worm thought I'd never get through it" song? Wormboy?

It shoulda been a split single with TMBG's "Dr. Worm"
"I'm not a real doctor but i am a real worm/I am an actual worm/I live like a worm/I like to play the drums"

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 02:51 (twenty years ago)

even better, a split single where they bands cover each other's songs.

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 03:00 (twenty years ago)

The dude plays GOLF for fuxxake. How hardcore can a person who plays golf be?

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 2 December 2004 03:14 (twenty years ago)

Ok if Warner, Linnel or Flansburgh ever stumbles across this thread I would like to personally request a split single of Manson doing Dr. Worm and TMBG doing....hmm....not Wormboy, The Dope Show! They could do it Snail Shell/SEXXY style! I'll draw up a petition if I have to...

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 03:21 (twenty years ago)

Oh my god... as much as I hate to admit this, I can actually hear Manson covering SEXXY. Thats so very wrong. I am sorry, Johns. Please dont hate me. I love you.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 2 December 2004 03:37 (twenty years ago)

Man I am listening to Doctor Worm right now and Manson covering this would be so fucking funny.

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 03:48 (twenty years ago)

TMBG doing a polka version of 'Beautiful People' or something would be equally brilliant hhaha :D

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:12 (twenty years ago)

I've seen them live twice. I have both DVDs even.

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:13 (twenty years ago)

(twice is not much but they're the only well known group I've gone to see more than once so nyah)

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:15 (twenty years ago)

I saw them only the once but it was an unusual gig, in that they did the whole Flood album in sequence (and then some other tracks as well). It was fab!

I have a video of them hosting a rock vid show here called Rage that they selected all their fave tracks for (some very good and interesting stuff - lots of hip hop, interestingly) and then all their own clips got played.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:40 (twenty years ago)

ok Trayce you've gotta post that tracklist sometime.
The only stuff I know about them liking is Elvis Costello and uh....Cub.

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:45 (twenty years ago)

(and they DID namecheck Kurtis Blow on Where Your Eyes Don't Go, so I reckon they know something about hip-hop)

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:46 (twenty years ago)

I like ABBA and that Ace of Base song. The AAF Michael Jackson cover was fun. I guess. Three years ago. For five minutes.

It's hard to kill a horse with a flute (AaronHz), Thursday, 2 December 2004 06:24 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, it was a really spiffy list of songs :) I taped it all and sometimes if I'm having a party or bored I'll stick it on and play it.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 2 December 2004 06:26 (twenty years ago)

Frank Black did a solo electric set opening up when I saw them on the John Henry tour in Santa Rosa, CA. Every couple of songs he would change guitars, but he didn't take the old guitar off....by the end of his set he was wearing like six guitars. Some guy kept yelling "CHARLIE BROWN!!!" at him between songs.

TMBG opened with Subliminal and their set pretty much ran the gamut. When they played "Shoehorn With Teeth", the drummer fucked up the little xylophone ting in the first chorus and everyone laughed at him. He nailed it the second and third time to wild applause. This may or may not have been a staged bit.

I saw them again on the Mink Car tour in Sacramento. Opening band was The Bicycle Thief (lead by the guy from Thelonius Monster), who were extremely boring on this occasion. TMBG opened with "Cyclops Rock". Their backing band was much tighter this time. The highlights for me were "Fingertips", which they didn't play the last time but totally nailed (I held up my lighter during "I'm having a heart attack"), the Dial-A-Drum Solo and a massive conga line on during "No One Knows My Plan" which was fun to watch in spite of the fact that I was too shy to participate.

NOW that Marilyn Manson hasn't got Wood (Evan Rachel Wood, that is), the shock rocker appears to be coping with the split with, perhaps, banana splits.

Help me out, where's the SB button on that website? Can't seem to find it. This is shockingly bad writing.
