You know at exhibitions/tradeshows/conferences...do you come home with bags full of pens and other tat?

Sorry, I would just "nabbing the freebies" to enter the nomenclature.

Oh god aye, CLASS. I'm like a magpie though.

We left the Motor Show with so much tat it was untrue. We were going drinking afterwards and after a few pubs Kev was like, "What's in that bag you're lugging around anyway?" and when I opened it, it was full of shit - loads of Strathclyde police car stickers, assorted pens, cheapo keyrings, and hundreds of leaflets and flyers.

We sorted out what was roach material and left the rest in Whistlers Mother.

Free stuff is usually nice. I figure you might as well nab as much of it as you can. After getting it home you can decide how much of it is actually worth keeping.

I go to Book Expo America every year, and always ship home like four gigantic boxes of free books.

Anyone noticed, the quality of freebie pens has shot up recently?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 2 December 2004 08:39 (twenty-one years ago)

yes; nice grips, clicking action, and translucence!

derrick (derrick), Thursday, 2 December 2004 08:55 (twenty-one years ago)

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 2 December 2004 08:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i think i stole a loot bag from an opening today---just this odd feeling that the bags were intended for the elite, and i wasnt one of them.

but it had some really cool things: a stuffed crocodile, a plastic pig, a shiny silver capgun, a bad comic, a dvd of welcome to mooseport and it was in this bag that had a screen print of missy elliot

so im not feeling too bad
