Are there certain kinds of alcohol that give you a headache?

See whereas wine gives me a headache - red wine to the point I can't drink it - and thats quite common because people have intolerances either to histamines, amines or the sulphur preservative.

If given large enough amounts that I end up tripping off the curb into oncoming traffic or inadvertently walk into trees/telephone poles, almost any alcohol can give me a headache. That's why I have my Bill Holden drinking helmet for those special nights.

I've never had a headache due to alcohol. I've been hung over, but that's not really head specific. I haven't figured out whether one kind of booze or other makes them better or worse. Actually, I've never really felt something and thought, "oh, I'm having a headache", is that strange?

this new years marks the tenth anniversary of my Very Bad Experience with citron vodka. the smell of it gives me that mouthwatering unpleasant sensation at the hinges of my jaw.
