Hopefully this Budd thing won't pour too much cold water on this highly enjoyable gossip-fest. What bizarre couplings and three-ways can we anticipate? Mark Steyn and Estelle Morris? Bring it.

Want a shag? Go work at the spectator.

Who do we think has the most notches out of Kimberley, Boris and Rod Liddle, then?

News of a Boris Johnson/Kimberley Quinn tryst would make my year, but sadly I think Boris might be a bit too buff, rugged and studly for her. She has atrocious taste in men.

The best thing about this story is it has prompted the appearance of Blunkett's woolly hat.

I keep reading Kimberly Quinn as Kimberly Quim.

Rod Liddle's byline photo is a Photoshop masterpiece, it makes him look vaguely attractive.

Also, the first time I saw the Simon Hoggart story I misread it as 'Simon Heffer' and got ridiculously overexcited. I think Michael Gove is next.

No accounting for some people's taste...

oh fuck if michael gove was involved it'd make my christmas. i'd settle for david davis and christina odone.

henry miller, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 09:23 (twenty-one years ago)

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 09:51 (twenty-one years ago)

ten months pass...
i don't even know what blunkett's done this time, but i *do* remember a time when the tories were facing sleaze accusations week upon week and fresh-faced tony blairs was making great running just by pointing and laughing.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 12:50 (twenty years ago)

It's good of Blunkett to do the donkey's share in the cabinet this time round. Similar job to Mandelson not so long ago. What a team player.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 12:53 (twenty years ago)

He ignored advice and didn't do something that wasn't compulsory. HE HAS TO GO!

It's not so easy for the Tories to point and laugh when the leader of the Scottish Tories is resigning over dodgy expenses claims.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 12:55 (twenty years ago)

Well, yes, but as Scottish political stories are never mentioned in the London press then they don't exactly have to worry about that getting out.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 12:58 (twenty years ago)

You beat me to it

Oh No, It's Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 13:00 (twenty years ago)

the flipside of that is, they don't report on scottish labour either.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 13:37 (twenty years ago)

Newspapers are boring enough as it is without having to report on Scottish politics

Oh No, It's Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 13:38 (twenty years ago)

Blunkett to resign in the next half an hour?

The silly old cunt's going to get away with another couple of months' holiday before he comes back as Home Secretary, isn't he?

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 10:04 (twenty years ago)

hahaha the whole 'working class lad out of his depth' thing won't really fly this time, share-owning twat.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 10:08 (twenty years ago)

I think his bigesst problem is that he's just catastrophically arrogant. The man can't conceive how anything he can do can ever be wrong, so he blunders on regardless, with the chip on his shoulder growing larger every time somone tries to stop him.
