Both of them are against gun control but Marilyn worked with the Mitchell Bros AND Cronenberg whilst Arnie was once directed by the bloke from Starsky and Hutch and James McTiernan (partly responsible for leading up to Michael Bay and thus a DUD). And James Cameron Vs David Cronenberg... well the originator of body horror wins this every time. Then again, Arnie banned fois gras from California, which is a GOOD thing. So who wins? Rabid is better than any Arnie film so I'm tempted to put it in Marilyn's favour...
