Limo's are a crock of hooey.

Rich people don't ride in limousines. They ride in sleek black Towncars and tinted-window Mercedes.

The only people in limousines are princess-for-a-day apartment dwellers. You're not fooling anyone, especially in a long, white SUV limo with blue lights on the side.

I beg to differ.

Jeeves-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw the LONGEST stretch Escalade the other day on Broadway in Oakland.

WAS IT YOU?

adam... (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

are you calling him a car?

Frankenstein On Ice (blueski), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

It's all about the Maybach - the thing has curtains!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

You should have gotten an invite to my Quincienera, Ad.

andy, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I assure you all of my clients are from the Forbes 500 list, and also kids who won tickets on the radio to see Slipknot.

Jeeves-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Rich people in L.A. drive big (ugly) BMW 7 series.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

but is it prom or startup.com?

Enrique & Anna Kournikova getting jiggy on some gin'n'juice.

andy, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Are Town Cars sleek?

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Internal combustion engine powered vehicles are strictly for the bourgeois and the nouveaux riches. Either I have my coach with 4 horses and liveried coachmen drive me about until such a point as the can carry me in my litter to my destination or I take my galley (for aquatic excursions).

Michael White (Hereward), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:56 (twenty-one years ago)

The truly decadent ride pedways anyhow:

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, in L.A. the super-rich drive the Prius.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

People drive in LA? Don't they have a subway?

andy, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll admit that I've never actually ridden it.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Are you saying you're super-rich, Spencer? Wanna be friends?

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

My last boss always specified NO LIMOS LINCOLN TOWN CARS ONLY to pick him up at airports when I was booking his travel stuff.

adam... (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:10 (twenty-one years ago)

The Porsche Cayenne seems to be quite popular among the very wealthy midwesterners.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

the further back from the front you are, the more car-sick you get, yo.

Alot of the more well-to-do Lego people are riding in late model Lego Bentleys these days, I'm told.

andy, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I am unfortunately not rich.

There's a couple of these that run around here. Word on the street is, they have been requested by headlining rap acts as transportation from the hotel to the venue on occasion.

nickalicious, whitest man in the world (nickalicious), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Hip-hop stars blow alot of cash they'll wish they'd kept, like heavyweight fighters.

I've had friends that see MC Hammer around Oakland - he lives in an apartment somewhere, and does ads for some late night phone-loan service. He used to own several mansions!

andy, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:37 (twenty-one years ago)

The truly decadent ride pedways anyhow

Well then. When I become rich I'm only going to travel by sedan chair. Carried by ex-dot.com executives. of course.

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 20:09 (twenty-one years ago)

apparently the super rich drink gin from measuring cups!

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry Emily but I think the cheap interior, inferior watch, and Grade D strumpets in the car indicate that the man in the above photo is not super-rich, or if he is super-rich, he is tediously insane.

Michael White (Hereward), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

digital watch, yo.

LSTD (answer) (sexyDancer), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)

dude, those strumpets are clearly grade c.

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 22:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I like that guy! They look like they're having a blast!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, as I wrote that I was thinking of when Lunch Lady Doris is using USDA Grade F - Circus Animals meat in the cafeteria and wondering how a disreputable Madam of a bawdy house might describe the two ladies of easy leisure in that photo.

Michael White (Hereward), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, most limo interiors are tacky.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

What I amuses me is when, in London, they can't get round the corners and have to do awkward reversing to get round. Stretched Lincolns and their relations lack style in every way.

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Town cars are more comfortable for me since they're not so low to the ground.

Michael White (Hereward), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Here's the backseat of a Maybach:

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:20 (twenty-one years ago)

It's like a posh dentist chair!!

Michael White (Hereward), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I must meet MC Hammer.

Dial Rat For Terror (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Why doesn't the Maybach just get rid of the seats altogether and put in one of those Altered States isolation tanks?

ANDY, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 23:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm wondering if there's a divider between the front and rear of the cabin - I mean without one, how can you get it on???

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 00:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Shamelessness fueled by knowledge that you're in a Maybach and the driver is at work.

Michael White (Hereward), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 00:33 (twenty-one years ago)
