I'm the least vehicle-literate or caring person on earth and I only discovered this show via the Discovery Channel on a mini-marathon on the show they ran tonight, and I'm hooked. I have no idea why.

So, the O.C.C., then?

then again, i'm a software engineer, so each show is kinda like working on a mini-project, with all the frustration, cussing, and backtracking due to either unforeseen problems or bad design...

my question.. there are several Orange Counties in the country. Is there an Orange County in New York state just north of the Bronx and Yonkers? Or is this an Orange County in Connecticut? I know it's not O.C. in NC, FL, or CA.

Ugliest bikes on Earth. Well, OC Choppers and that whole EasyRider style, at least. Even uglier than plastic sportbikes.

Old Triumphs (and the newish Kawasaki ripoff!) and Harleys (and the newish ripoffs from Honda, etc.) are gorgeous because they're so clean and effective. They have no more design or metal than absolutely necessary.

All these big wheel/funky handlebar/LOOK AT ME paintjobs are poncey, just ugly crap for some middle-aged stockbroker to prove how macho he is. I can't imagine Steve McQueen or Marlon Brando riding one, which effectively rules them out as worthwhile motorcycles in my mind.

altho, i was entertained by the first ep i saw of this, watching last year's christmas ep with my family(who loves the show). somethign about them making a precious motorbike to entertain the children and continually yelling FCC violations at each other all the while...

Well, yeah, I'm hardly excited for the actual results as I am just the whole process and the way the guys interact and all that... which is kinda sad as it does reflect that analogy of my typical work day, and I never thought I'd find watching something that fits that analogy entertaining at all.

Maybe I like OCC because it's just a subtle form of a man show without resorting to the boring obvious televised showing of boobies and beer chugging and without the satanic presence of Tim Allen.
