But he listened to the crowd reaction.

"I think it was 89.2 percent cheers and 11.8 percent boos," he said, failing to add correctly. "But I'm used to it. It was a fun day. I'm sure the NBA made a lot of money today."

I think I understand the point being made here (ie, there weren't that many boos) but given that the numbers do actually add up to 100 percent, this looks like a really poor attempt at trying to make Shq look stupid.

J.lu's probably right. I mean, I sorta hate it when writers insert little snarky asides like that, but at the same time, they have to demonstrate that they realize that the numbers add up to 101, and I'm not sure "[sic]" is appropriate in this case.
