Movie Recommendations for New Years Eve

Right then, since a few of my friends & I are broke, we're opting for the "rent a few vids and get drunk on beer" approach to celebrating the New Year.

Any suggestions? We've already all seen _Shaun of the Dead_. My other suggestions were _Hero_ and the Metallica docu, whereas a coupla other folks also wanted _The Mack_ and _Breakin'_.

What else?

The Metallica movie is not really suitable for an occasion like this, it's good but less instantly gratifying than you might expect, especially if you're drunk and you just want to laugh and look at cool stuff.

Speaking of Canada, what's that movie where the world ending at midnight New Year's Eve is pretty much secondary to the story of a woman trying to get home to her husband?

Pleasant//Plains, Thursday, 30 December 2004 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Death Race 2000 is the only movie worth watching, ever.

Does anyone want to see Bottle Rocket or Rushmore tomorrow at the New Beverly Cinema? My guess is that most ILX0rs have already seen them. I've only seen parts of Rushmore.

Last Night is a great movie and there's finally a version out on DVD that isn't pan-and-scan.
