I keep nearly (accidentally) running my ex-girlfriend over

I have to stress the accidentally, i don't want her dead. We live in the same town but i never see her, yet in the last 4 days i have nearly knocked her down FOUR (yes four, two would have been fatal) times.

1) backing out a parking space she walks out into the path of the car. I slam on the brakes and make embarassed faces.

2) rounding a corner a little too fast, she is walking across the road. Again i slam on the brakes, but this time i pretend to be fixing the heat control in the car.

3) pulling into the petrol station she is just wandering around the bay. She doesn't have a car, so i know she doesn't need petrol. This time i dont need to slam on the brakes, i just cruise around her.

4) this is just taking the piss. I am going down a country lane in the dark and suddenly theres this figure (NO REFLECTIVE CLOTHING!!!) and i have to swerve to miss her at speed. Only when i past her did i realise it was her.

What on earth can i do?

Pressing A & B together makes you smaller.

She might be following you and endangering herself so that she can pull a Curly Sue and live in your house while recovering.

Hari Ashurst (Toaster), Friday, 31 December 2004 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe she's stalking you, but just isn't very good at it and keeps getting 'discovered' . ?

donna (donna), Friday, 31 December 2004 14:27 (twenty-one years ago)

or maybe she's trying to get me to run her over and go to jail and shes REALLY good at it.

Is it just your ex-girlfriend, or is she with her new lesbian lover?

Pears can just fuck right off. (kenan), Friday, 31 December 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

this reminds me of the snl sketch where claudine longet keeps accidentally shooting the skier.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Friday, 31 December 2004 19:27 (twenty-one years ago)

So that you'll be "too early" for these close encounters.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Friday, 31 December 2004 19:28 (twenty-one years ago)

She is probably terrified!

You're in a movie of some kind - it's influenced by Jacob's Ladder. At some point, Bruce Willis may appear, or even Nicole Kidman, playing a Victorian ghost (very stiffly). Wait for the plot to unfold and do not post spoilers on this thread.

I never realized what uninspired artwork Groundhog Day has.

Mcdowell's expression captures perfectly the absurdity of her choice of clock design

that is very funny.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 1 January 2005 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

It is.
