Drugland: Crock or rock?

Only managed to get through this grossly Nathan Barley-ish faux-liberal shitfest by imagining everyone involved was a BBC employee. But what about those less stable, less educated, less middle-class than me?

Never mind all that, wasn't "Shameless" great?

I saw the end. It made me want to become a dealer.

Seriously though, they didn't really say anything new did they?

gotta love those re-enactments of "exclusive" dinner parties. those bits had to be a deterrent for anyone interested in trying cocaine.

i guess it had interest as a portrait of the incredibly sad and delusional life most dealers really lead. but the programme was full of shit -- it flat-out denied that drug dealing had any relation to violent crime! this assiduously 'nonjudgemental' piece thus made all sorts of unspoken judgements about the victims.

It was as good tonight as it was rubbish last night.

Difficult choice from the BBC tonight, 'Drunk and Dangerous: Binge Drinking' or 'Drugland', both at 9pm. What were they thinking?

yeah, much better. horrible, really, just fucking bleak. made me think of 'my summer of love', weirdly, the way paddy considine is, the show kind of 'explained' that.

STOP PRESS: 'Binge Drinking' postponed for the second time, replaced by 'The Killer Waves'.

I hope the BBC gives Sarah O'Connell more programme-making opportunities. You can tell I was impressed, I looked up her name.

Quite poor again last night, like an extended episode of 'Club Reps' with added cowardly undercover reporter tosh. However, the Ibiza policemen were the funniest thing I've seen for quite a while.
