nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 6 January 2005 20:50 (twenty years ago)

SHUT UP

i've been having serious problems w/ that today! no really! i think i caught myself the other times tho.

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 20:52 (twenty years ago)

I do that ALL THE TIME. Especially with its/it's.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 6 January 2005 20:53 (twenty years ago)

oh i do that one all the time too but sometimes in that case i leave it intentionally. why...

maybe this is a fault in me that goes deeper than any amount of caffeine can account for... PANIC!!!

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 20:55 (twenty years ago)

I had a brutal caffeine high when I binged on the chocolate-covered coffee beans last week. I was shaking and felt sick, until I had a beer and some bar food.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 6 January 2005 20:55 (twenty years ago)

The other night I lay in bed and began to think about how my entire system is dependent on there being enough air coming in through my nose and mouth to keep me alive. And then I began to get scared about how those are really very TINY holes and what if they got blocked up or they weren't big enough. And then I FREAKED OUT and had to get up and read about Russian Constructivism and drink some kefir.

Getting a caffeine buzz and then drinking beer is the greatest thing I've ever done.

laurence kansas (lawrence kansas), Thursday, 6 January 2005 20:58 (twenty years ago)

ALCOHOL thank you why didn't i think of this before

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:00 (twenty years ago)

If youre interested in caffeine buzzes, I highly recommend taking two dayquil and drinking two cups of coffee. You'll be fucking JACKED OUT OF YOUR MIND for about 8-9 hours. I did this on accident at work a couple of weeks ago, and while it was pretty fun, I wouldnt recommend doing it again.

major jingleberries (jingleberries), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:00 (twenty years ago)

ooh or should i pop some xanax hmmm choices

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:01 (twenty years ago)

I've heard the combination of drinking too much coffee and then smoking too much weed oft referred to as a "hippy speedball".

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:03 (twenty years ago)

If you decide to drink beer be prepared to spend a lot of time emptying your bladder.

laurence kansas (lawrence kansas), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:05 (twenty years ago)

I prefer coffee-based cocktails - it cuts it down to a single step.

I took four NoDoz & drank a pot of coffee in a 1-hour period during my freshman year of college. I was tired & had to study for my finals, so it seemed like a good idea. I spent the next two hours walking in a circle in my living room, talking to myself & then crashed for 16 hours. I've been very sensitive to caffeine ever since.

NAS T ASS generic xanax pills + NAS T ASS 100 proof vodka followed w/ a swish of lemon juice chaser to kill the nasty + strawberry le creme yogurt = a quick onset of bliss, ladies and gents.

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:12 (twenty years ago)

I've been having lots of coffee & Bailey's on weekends lately. It may not result in benders, but it's the most pleasant drink I can think of.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:12 (twenty years ago)

good espresso's better than cocaine

LSTD (answer) (sexyDancer), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:16 (twenty years ago)

i'm more of a depressent man myself....................................................................................................yes.

i think i'm naturally so high-strung (at least during manic episodes, i'm prolly bipolar) that they're a relief whereas stimulants are really just a kind of exquisite torture.

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:23 (twenty years ago)

whooo, i'm really feeling it now and melikies.

re espresso i've talked toa ex-coke addict who swore by it..well not "it" but yellow jackets, coffee and etc...caffeine. i don't know, that seems really pathetic to me, i'd rather just do coke. maybe it was more of a cost-benefit thing tho.

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:52 (twenty years ago)

coffee doesn't tend to hollow out your soul so much

LSTD (answer) (sexyDancer), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:55 (twenty years ago)

Yes, but drinking espresso off of a model's breasts can tend to be difficult.

.adam (nordicskilla), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:02 (twenty years ago)

i dunno, when i'm on caffiene (when it works, sometimes it doesn't you see, lying latent until sleep is most desired and then blam, heart pounding, now i'm laying latent waiting for it to (never) pass then blackout, unremembered, 4AM...but i dont' feel like i have soul now either..diff being that right now i just dont care. incapable. too much xanax.

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:03 (twenty years ago)

John (jdahlem), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:19 (twenty years ago)

my last post was meant for the punchlines only thread
but it might as well apply here

LSTD (answer) (sexyDancer), Friday, 7 January 2005 02:41 (twenty years ago)

well i went to sleep but now i'm awake again. this is so typical.

where was that thread where i told roxy i loved her? i bet she didn't reply. everyone is so creepy these days.

John (jdahlem), Friday, 7 January 2005 04:54 (twenty years ago)

I actually think you get more of a "high" from caffiene in moderation (maybe two cups of strong coffee) than from extreme amounts. When I have a couple good cups of coffee, I get really happy, energetic, and creative and want to talk about lots of stuff. More than that and I just get cranky, nervous, etc.

Hurting (Hurting), Friday, 7 January 2005 04:57 (twenty years ago)

five years pass...

So I haven't had caffeine in about 10 months. I'm about to drink a cup of coffee though. I miss the pick me up, and I think having a little will help my exercise routine get moving. Bad idea? I haven't take a sip yet.

Jeff, Wednesday, 24 March 2010 13:53 (fifteen years ago)

the exercise routine doesn't make you up sufficiently?

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Wednesday, 24 March 2010 14:08 (fifteen years ago)

you might try green tea, or something in a more limited dose. the coffee acid has a chance of wrecking hell on your GI tract, if you're not accustomed to it.

I had previously drank decaf every day, so I'm used to coffee.

Mark G, Wednesday, 24 March 2010 15:05 (fifteen years ago)

it's me also.

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Wednesday, 24 March 2010 15:31 (fifteen years ago)

Jeff decaf already contains caffeine...I would stay away from starbucks/big box places, as their beans are selected for high caffeine content

it is just like an unknown puzzle till the end of the world (dyao), Thursday, 25 March 2010 00:14 (fifteen years ago)
