AOL Table Cell Background Images / Attachments don't show up. Now, I ask you, is that right?

Does anyone know a workaround for AOL that would allow table cell background images to show up? Would a CSS background-image property work?

AOL browser is based on Gecko/Mozilla standards i.e. w3c compatible. yes putting all background images into your CSS is how to sort it.

my understanding was that is was initially based on IE then they switched to Netscape/Gecko in 2002 or so then...back again?

Nice. I bet the LSD ARISTOCAT feels pretty stoopid now. I stopped paying attention to AOL a long time ago for obvious reasons, but every now and then we get a smart client who realizes that a huge percentage of idiots view the internet through AOL. All that shit on the top bar of AOL takes up so much space, then on top of that these idiots usually have their monitors on some magnifying glass-sized resolution and ask, "How come I can't see it on my laptop?" The answer is always, "Can you see ANY website on your laptop?"

dude, every recent AOL install I have seen (as well as historically going back many versions) has been based on internet explorer.

I have been following AOL's dance with netscape based stuff, but they are STILL using MSIE as the browser in their client.
