i just ate dinner next to andre3000

so a friend and i see a movie today and afterwards we go to this student-type vegetarian/organic restaurant in the annex for dinner. the place is packed, wall to wall people, there's maybe 10 inches between each table, and as i'm eating i notice a dude waiting in line at the door who looks uncannily like andre. thing is, he's got a maple leafs toque on and looks fairly dressed down and anyway we're in a budget veggie restaurant in toronto so i put it down to a case of canadian doppelganger and continue eating. but oddly enough the table right beside us clears up right as dude's number comes up and the waitress escorts him and a friend over to sit beside us and as soon as we can hear him talking, it's pretty unmistakable. so he tells his girl stories about prince and at one point, even consults us about fries (he's stumped between cajun and sweet potato) and after we makes a sufficient case for sweet potato, he actually says "alrightalrightalright." anyway i'm realizing as i type this that it isn't really much of a story but it was just so completely random, especially in toronto. also, it took all my energy not to stank the waitress, stank her very much, the end.
