what about. like. when you fill a glass and cover the rim with a plate and then turn them upside down together and the plate stays in place?

i had this stupid thing when i was a kid.. that when i took a shower when those strings of water flow down ones fingers, i thought that it was some super power of mine.. like on captain planet how they could all control fire and water and um, dirt.. i guess i thought I could control water, even though out of the shower my power ceased. what good would a little trickling of water do, anyway? i guess i thought i could save some innocent plants from dying. what a nice girl!

you are doing the dishes, you have a glass in the water - turn it upside down while still fully submerged then slowly draw it up out of the water while still leaving the top of the glass under the surface - you have magically lifted water up with an upside-down glass
