Kustard

it just sounds so much more hard and industrial. And if you ate too much you'd be pwned by Kustard.

ain't nobody fuckin' with kustard

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:47 (twenty years ago)

ain't nobody fuckin' with kustard

you've just coined ILE's new slogan, Hari!

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:49 (twenty years ago)

Buccace. It's softer and more cottage industry.

We're all going to fuck with Buccace.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:50 (twenty years ago)

i considered signing up to flickr just so i could post pictures of custard tins with 'K' written over the top of the C.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:51 (twenty years ago)

Joanie Loves Buccace!

Huk-L, Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:52 (twenty years ago)

Koliflower.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:52 (twenty years ago)

shit i never realised how awesome 'k' is until now.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:52 (twenty years ago)

"The Cincs!"

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:53 (twenty years ago)

Buccace. It's softer and more cottage industry.
To me it almost looks like it would be pronounced "boo-sauce-y". Which is actually kind of descriptive.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:54 (twenty years ago)

Karnation - sounds like a flower made of rotting meat.. Love it.

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:55 (twenty years ago)

buccace or 'surprise sauce'

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:56 (twenty years ago)

And if you ate too much you'd be pwned by Ken C.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:56 (twenty years ago)

Koranation - where the queen stomps throught the streets of london beheading anybody in her way. Kommemorative plates to follow.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:57 (twenty years ago)

I'd be happy if we just did away with the letter "C" altogether. If ever there was a useless letter... I mean both sounds it makes can be replaced by either a "K" or an "S".

"Ken C" would have to become "Ken Sea" - which is much, much better.

lol xpost

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:58 (twenty years ago)

Hari accidentally bought a rascist kkkustard.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:58 (twenty years ago)

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:01 (twenty years ago)

How would you spell 'cheese'?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:03 (twenty years ago)

jeez

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:04 (twenty years ago)

cheese can stay the same, but it will be maginalised for being fey.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:05 (twenty years ago)

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:05 (twenty years ago)

has anybody ever taken a cheese whiz?

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:06 (twenty years ago)

From a can?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:06 (twenty years ago)

a kan?

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:07 (twenty years ago)

the addition of 'k' means theres a strong chance you will be injured during the 'kan-kan' dance.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:07 (twenty years ago)

It's still pathetic that the letter C would need H to tag along to get the job done.
So what we would do then is give the "CH" sound to the letter "Q" then every instance of "Q" or "QU" (equally as pathetic always needing the U every single time) can be replaced by the letter "K"; which sounds the same and saves a letter.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:08 (twenty years ago)

So "QUEEN" would become "KWEEN" and "CHEESE would become "QEESE". GENIUS!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:11 (twenty years ago)

wait, now its morphing into mexican

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:12 (twenty years ago)

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:13 (twenty years ago)

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:16 (twenty years ago)

X can be replaced by KS or sometimes Z. X can be used in place of sounds like 'christ' and 'cross' still though :

"X" cannot and will not be removed b/c then there'd be no "h4x0r", "fux0r" etc.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:19 (twenty years ago)

...and thats the story of how webspeak was invented.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:19 (twenty years ago)

Buccace looks like it would pronunce 'buccachay' and you could get it at an Italian restaurant.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:10 (twenty years ago)

can you not?

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:11 (twenty years ago)

as the buccace is winding down they come and pepper your face with one of those giant pepper dispensers. Except now it's shaped like a cock.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:14 (twenty years ago)

April qowers

I don't think this is right. Q = CH, but then we need something to sound like SH. Is X already doing too much work? The Chinese seem to like it for this purpose.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:21 (twenty years ago)

So do those crazy Catalans. "Caixa" = cash.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:23 (twenty years ago)

Sorry that should be 'kax' now, eh?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:23 (twenty years ago)

sh == zj

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:28 (twenty years ago)

"zjowers"? "cazj"? I like it.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:31 (twenty years ago)

Cis, don't go all Magyar on us, pleazje.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:32 (twenty years ago)

zj is voiced, like casual/cazjual. In my brane, anyway.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:32 (twenty years ago)

"kazjual"

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:41 (twenty years ago)

isn't Magyar the one with the szirkumflexed c's?

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:44 (twenty years ago)

On the Adam Sandler thread, dave225 referred to the film aktor Al Paqino, whiq made me think of the aktress Anna Pakwin.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:46 (twenty years ago)

Czech (as I know know) has 'c's with all manner of diacritical marks, including the one that's an upside-down circumflex (it just makes it a 'ch' sound). It's the diacriticalized 'r' that's boggling me at the mo.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:49 (twenty years ago)

Strike a 'k' from that post. I leave to you to choose.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:53 (twenty years ago)

qoose

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:56 (twenty years ago)

r and l behave almost like vowels in Czech, don't they? So the diacricicalized could be the more consnantal r-sound.

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:59 (twenty years ago)

'diakritikalized' and 'konsonantal', even.

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 17:00 (twenty years ago)

o no wait it's the one in Dvorak and therefore 'dzj'.

duh.

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 17:06 (twenty years ago)

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 17:07 (twenty years ago)
