There was a widely disseminated article a while back describing how the two guys who produced something like 95% of the country's acid were busted somewhere in rural Kansas. I think this was around 2001.

Pretty sure that the 95% figure is exaggerated, but supposedly the Kansas bust did put a big dent in the supply. The hilarious thing about it is that they had taken over a surplus Atlas missile silo.
Lots of info here

E in America = $20E in UK = five pounds!
We need to do a drug exchange.
You can buy acid on Telegraph or Haight pretty much any time day or night.

RKL's "Greatest Hits" album cover was all sorts of colorful blotter, from a travelling acid museum I believe.

I have some on a piece of construction paper that I've had for like 3 years and for some bizarre reason have never taken. It's all dried out and gone away now, hasn't it?
My roommate used to be obsessed with it, partially because it was so hard to find in New York. One day he's out walking his dog along the street and passes some sweaty-looking skate kids and has this urge to ask them if they know where to get some. They respond that they have some right now, how much does he want? His jaw drops. He buys some and then he's like "how do I get in touch with you?" and the ringleader kid reaches into his pocket and hands him a piece of paper, and they fuck off down the road. Matt looks at the piece of paper. It's a torn-off corner of paper, that the kid has written his name and pager number on! He must have torn off the paper, written the info on the paper, and stuffed it into his pocket all in advance!!@@!
