Last-minute London FAP! Club Hedonistic/Club Seal TONIGHT at 1slington B4r Acad3my

I was planning on coming to this anyway, but will probably be avoiding the bands like the plague and just coming on after the pub closes.

The thing is though, I get nothing from this. It's all for love, and since I genuinely think people on ILX will a. be vaguely interested, b. be likely to enjoy themselves if they showed up, and c. appreciate a decent and good value noisy evening out on a Friday (which is rare), I don't feel so bad about posting.

I actually think it's really childish, that if you're part of a website/club/scene which is supposed to be all about supporting other local bands, it's really quite childish to go on some messageboard and slag off one of the other bands that play at your/your friends' nightclub. It only makes one look ungracious and petty.

Either way, slogan t-shirts are the way to go: remember TR4CK AND F13LD SUCK HAIRY MOOSE COCK?

If I was going to start a feud with anyone, it would be Luxemburg, I think that would be fun. I want a t-shirt that says "I shagged Luxemburg and all I got was this lousy t-shirt".

OK, I still won't have any money until it clears but at least this means that the CLOUD OF DOOM is gone from above my head and I might actually have a good time, dance and enjoy myself.

Charlie - I wouldn't worry about what you can get away with pop-wise. The aforementioned guy came on after me and pretty much tested the limits of what the dancefloor was prepared to tolerate, and it didn't clear.

Also IMPORTANT PUB THING: Drinking will also be taking place in the Red Lion beforehand. I'll be there from about 8.30ish, I think.

It was really good to see some of you again and meet new peeps. Charlie, we'll have that Keigo Oyamada conversation again sometime.

I did? Really? Fuck me, I haven't a bloody clue what happened, to be honest. Haven't been so ruined in a good wee while. Still, apparently everyone enjoyed it - even my notindieanymore flatmates - and I had lots of fun til the bits I've forgotten. But I left my minidisc behind, which is REALLY annoying. Bah.
