So they get kidnapped, brutalized, brainwashed, drugged and made instruments of war. I've seen a documentary produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation where a giggling 7 year old girl getting rehabilitated was remembering how they were all laughing when they were cutting off hands of people with machetes. Another kid matter-of-factly explained how they were opening the chest of their opponents, take out the heart and liver, cook em, add salt and pepper and eat em. Another explained that when they captured a pregnant women they were gambling about the sex of the child then open the women up to check. A bit of the old ultra violence.

cook em, add salt and pepper and eat emWell, at least they didn't eat them raw.
Seriously, human beings are not born with an innate moral sense, except to learn the ways of the tribe they grow up in. If the tribe are cannibals or ultra-violent, the kids will follow in those footsteps and be very happy - provided they are accepted into the group.
However, if any of you are thinking about starting your own cult of evil, violent children, be careful. The only safe way to cultivate this degree of violence toward other humans and not have it boomerang on you is to make strict distinctions between members of the tribe and everyone else.
No one but the tribe is allowed to be human. Outsiders are inhuman because of... whatever trumped up reason you pluck out of a hat. But, once you've hit on the random difference, you have to make it absolutely central to tribal membership. It is also a very good idea to make yourself the leader using an elaborate set of taboos to enforce your sanctity.
The grebt thing is, it works!

It is well to pour forth adverse publicity upon the heads of all who follow such horrific practises. If nothing else, it will bring shame upon them. Even though it won't stop the practise altogether, it may do some good at the margins, which would be an everlasting miracle of shining goodness to the few who were rescued from those margins.
Slavery is back in vogue in many parts of the world, too. Next, I expect to hear the Thugs are back in India, killing travelers.
