FFS. How is that zombie part of me clever enough to get up, switch off the alarm and get back in bed without "me" ever knowing about it?

Secretly so classic, though. Come on.

shut the hell up, have a baby and then be all nostalgic and shit. being able to sleep till 4 pm? i wish i had done it more. ;-)

if you'd gone to bed at a reasonable time, young man, instead of sending me snippets from old e-mails i don't remember writing (fwiw i think i was wrong about it, whatever it was) then you'd ... hmm, probably still have slept in, knowing you.

i think madchen needs to set up this automated bollock-kicking machine (qv whichever thread that was) ASAP.

Sleeping in: Classic

Waking up in a panic after sleeping in and seeing what time it is: Dud dud dud.

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Friday, 17 November 2006 14:19 (nineteen years ago)

Getting up at 7.30, showering and breakfasting and getting ready to go to work, realising it's a Saturday, then climbing back into bed and snoozing till 1pm - priceless.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I sleep in I find that I just stare at the clock for about 30 seconds until it sinks in what time it is.
Then I rush and panic (like it’ll make a difference).

There's nothing more I hate than accidentally sleeping in–I end up feeling more fatigued than if I had had too little sleep.

(I also hate feeling like I've wasted the majority of a day)

i got three hours of sleep last night.

so, right now, sleeping in is classic.

punching other people in the face: double classic.

Classic. I've used my alarm clock once in the last six months.

Django Blowhardt (Rock Hardy), Friday, 17 November 2006 16:06 (nineteen years ago)

I got five hours of sleep and a sinus infection. GETTING UP FOR WERK = DUD^2

Laurel (Laurel), Friday, 17 November 2006 16:09 (nineteen years ago)

Classic although gone are the days when I could sleep until 4. Ah, college.

Erica Bockhart (expatrica), Friday, 17 November 2006 16:11 (nineteen years ago)

classic. especially when you've gotten 4-6 hours of sleep every night for the last two months and you finally get a four day break, so you sleep 12 hours every day. i can't *wait* for thanksgiving.

Maria (Maria), Friday, 17 November 2006 16:30 (nineteen years ago)

I can't sleep in anymore. :(

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 17 November 2006 16:33 (nineteen years ago)

sleep out then

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Friday, 17 November 2006 16:37 (nineteen years ago)

When your company paid for the drinks the night before - and you can show up for work whenever you please because there's not alot of work and your superior has the day off - C-L-A-S-S-I-C-O!

I can't sleep in any more either - I am up around 9 on the weekends which is ridiculous because even getting up at 8.45 kills me on weekdays.

I think madchen could function pretty effectively AS an automated bollock-kicking machine :)

(p.s. hi stet! come and visit soon!)
