Oh, one time, my cat was knocking shit off of the mantle. I yelled at her and picked her up. As I did this, the other - bigger - cat ran up and started attacking my ankles. I yelled at him, too, and kicked him into the bathroom. I threw the first cat in there as well, yelled at them "NOW YOU TWO SIT IN THERE AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU JUST DID.", and slammed the door.

That's obviously pathetic, but I DIDN'T VIDEOTAPE IT AND PUT IT ON THE INTERNET.

I only ever have to shout at one of my cats. It goes like this:

"Linus!!! You stripey furred fuckbag! You pissed on the fucking bed again! I'll fucking stick a mascara wand in your fucking eyes!"

Killick never does anything wrong ever, so he never gets shouted at. I wonder if Linus secretly hates him for this.

I do a lot of "Hey! Leave that alone! Stop it!" and such. But then I remember that if she's not happily sleeping somewhere, she's probably just telling me that she's hungry or cold, so I feed her and turn the heat up and she chills right out.

I am so sorry to say that I was surprised and couldn't stop laughing. I sincerely hope that the yelling is isolated to the episodes we saw in the videos.

It's clear from the cats utter look of shock and surprise -- and mostly from the fact that they glare directly at the camera for a while before running -- that he doesn't do this often. If he were a habitual cat screamer-atter, they would either have ignored him completely or taken off instantly. I feel kind of bad for the all-black cat, because he was doing the squinchy eyed thing, which is cattish for "yes, we're friends", just before he got hollered at. I think it's also clear that the big black and white cat is alpha cat in this herd.

I don't yell at my cat much. When he's a little bad, I simply threaten to take him the Zoo and give him to the zookeepers to use as monkey food.

the worst i do to my cat is yell 'YOU SUCK!!' when shes unexpectedly mean to me. I left her bite me at least once a day because she looks like she really needs to get it out of her system.
there are much better ways to fuck with a cat than yelling at them. that upsets them which is sick. making them pissy, however, is a lot of fun. i used to have a cat that took a good half hour to meticulously clean himself. sometimes when he was finished i would go up to him and touch his back with the tip of one finger. his eyes would squint up and his ears would go back and he would stalk off to another part of the room to start the entire cleaning process over again. good times.
