the main problem is that they licensed what was essentially an un-optimized Source engine, completed programming the game, and then(according to rumors) weren't budgeted the extra cash to put it thru its full QA measures, thanks to Activision.

This is like the first PC game where I've ever made extensive use of the screenshot key, too.

Grey Delisle does the voice of the slutty vamp chick(seen on the box cover) and who your character(male or female(i think)) can sleep with at some point in the game. She put out her own gothy alt-country album on Sugar Hill, and has another on the way.

She's ALSO married to Murray from the Old 97's.
Another fun bit is the fact that at least two Futurama voice actors are in the game.

aw fuck. it seems that Troika, the company that made the game, might be shutting its doors soon. I'd heard about this elsewhere, too.

i'm playing thru it again, this time as the Malk clan(the batshit crazy one). apparently, at some point, you character interacts with a stop sign, and the tv(which begins to tell you jokes).

Finally about to get into this. I know there are some fan patches out there - the main ones seem to be the "True" patch and the Patches Scrolls one (which is still getting updates!). Mainly I just want to play the game as bug free as possible without extra stuff added by modders, but I understand both patches can do this? Anyone have an idea which way I should go, starting the game completely fresh?

Wacthed a documentary about Worlds Of Darkness/Vampire/White Wolf, I really didn't have any knowledge about how huge a phenomenon it was and Tim Bradstreet being an important part. I could have done without all the little filmic bits and since it was from 6 or so years ago, I don't know how things stand now. Maybe I'll search soon.
