It's a requirement for a job I've just got an interview for (editorial consultancy). Can anyone help me out here?

Weird. Usually it means Emergency Medical Technician, but I'm assuming that's not what it means in this case.

Um what are you editorially consulting for? Because, yeah, it means emergency medical technician, I can't figure out what the hell else it could mean but that doesn't make any sense in the context you're referring to.

I don't know where you all live but EMTs and fire marshalls do not work in offices in NYC!!! They usually don't editorially consult either! Though every fire marshall I've known worked at Harley Davidson on the side so maybe there's a thing to this.

there are fire marshalls in my office. Just means you're trained to count heads and direct everyone to the exit door. it's might be fire safety marshall or deputy or something.
It could stand for a Editorial Managment Training course.
