I found it accidentally. It was/is in Graz in Austria. It's on a website of personal photos from a holiday which is very short on information. I think it's pretty awesome so I'd really like to know who made it.

While trying to send him an email to find out a if he knows anything about the sculpture I came across the following description of himself - "Designer, strategic marketer, authority on learning, promoter, information architect, author, conceptual artist, presenter, leader, generalist, photographer, lifelong learner, blogger, Harvard MBA, Princeton grad, mover, shaker".

His homepage has an animated gif of him winking at me.

I can't see any chris burden stuff that looks like this. I saw his meccanno thing at the Baltic a while ago. Didn't do too much for me I'm afraid.

She is Chris Burden's wife, oddly enough. She has a similar sculpture at the MOCA in Los Angeles.
