yeah i'm thinking maybe whoever wrote it remembered some mets team was a cinderella team and said 86, cuz 69 mets are definitely that although to be honest i'm not sure i've definitely heard it used to describe a baseball team, it's very very much a march madness term. to my ears at least. gammons probably got snooked in by some loophole in his espn contract.

o yeah i got louisville and illinois penciled in right now as final four no matter what the brackets look like (unless obv they're in the same region), not sure on the other two. kansas is a never again for me, unc might as well be with roy williams.

this is blasphemy, and i'm going to hell, but i don't think louisville (my team of teams till the day i die) will go final four until denny dies. it hurts me to type that. denny is the best. and he donated a gym to my old high school! and we've never even had a basketball team. dude has heart.
