Set everything aflame.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

the current space in here = this chair i'm sitting on (the space cleared from throwing pile of clothes onto bed) and the bed i'll sleep on later (the space cleared from throwing pile of clothes onto chair)

Learn how to telekinetically fold your clothes in your sleep, ken, and everything will be just fine.

I had the same problem last month. (Except replace 'tired' with 'drunk.') Is it mostly clothes, or is it (like it was in my room last month) mostly papers and random personal effects? I made a commitment to putting away ONE thing per day, and found this often turned into more. Eventually I got caught up. Most of the cleaning can actually be accomplished by throwing stuff out.

Or just sleeping in the piles of clothes.

that rack is way too big.. it'd never fit in my room - i only really need space for those two big ones on the top rack.

i've just slept for 10 hours and i'm still tired. tonight though is going to be serious room cleaning time.

zappi (joni), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 09:27 (twenty-one years ago)

this is lame, guys. stop it.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 11:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Ken, I know it's hard, but you could always STOP POSTING ON TEH INTERWEB AND TIDY IT! We'd miss you for all of two hours, and your problems would be solved. I tidied my room about amonth ago after it got about as bad as yours sounds now, and it's the biggest relief in the world. It seems really weird to get out of bed and not have to navigate your way around four-day-old pants and mountains of old shirts to get to the door!

Johnney B (Johnney B), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 11:26 (twenty-one years ago)

It took him nearly two hours to jump in and knock all that "lame" stuff that had already stopped on the head, I thought he must have been off tidying.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 11:28 (twenty-one years ago)

johnny b this is good advice but, as well as stop posting on the internet, i'd actually need to quit my job as well for the sake of the tidyness of my room.

i'm sure tonight i'll find some time to tidy this room up. but at the moment, calling onimo on his lamosity takes priority.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 11:38 (twenty-one years ago)

they'll be all like "What? You see the pretty video for it on lame MTV and fell in love with the record's lamosity?" and then you'll be like "Lamosity isn't a word" and they'd be like "Shut up, Lamey McLame! Go buy 'Kid A'"

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

I offer a service very similar to the Life Laundry programme on Channel 2. Basically, I stand in your room and say 'put your shoes in that cupboard', 'throw away those apple cores', 'place all cds in one place', 'you don't actually need that, do you?' and 'why don't you alphabetise your porn?'. You do all the actual work, but I get to boss you around. Other clients have included Starry and, er Starry. She'll tell you I'm good.

alix (alix), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Did Starry alphabetise her porn? What came first?

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

DO YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

The customer always comes first.

alix (alix), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

You're very clever Mark.

alix (alix), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

don't encourage him lixi.

mark that was lame, stop it.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Just shove everything under your bed. Then buy a ladder to get into bed.
