I love it.

I watched Run Ronnie Run last night. Or the first 50 minutes of it. Holy crap is it awful!

:(

Is this doing for a Mr. Show sketch what SNL movies did for theirs?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Or am I thinking of something else?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, kinda. Not quite as good a jump-to-screen as, say, Wayne's World, but FAAAAAR superior to, like, Night at the Roxbury.

Are you saying that the back half of that movie is brilliant and redeems the front?

I'm not really a David Cross fan anyway. At least...not after watching the first 50 minutes of RRR.

Huk-L, Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Even Bob and David have disowned the movie!

latebloomer (latebloomer), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Even though they are entirely responsible for it!

Huk-L, Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I WANT A NECKLACE DIPPED IN CHOCOLATE.

Also, "put my penis in your thoughtful vagina" is pretty f'n classic.

I don't think it stands up to repeated viewings, but then, I can't think of many comedies that do. Unless you're ON WEED.

they were locked out of the editing room by the director and the studio, who apparently took control of the film.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh. I thought they had directed it. MY BAD! I ruined it!

Huk-L, Wednesday, 9 February 2005 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I actually think it does stand up to repeat viewings, if only to catch all the little things Ronnie says to the cops while he's running that you don't quite catch the first time around.

"Son, put the goat down."
"No YOU put the goat down!"
