Despite what the Orthodox say, it really is about mixed fibers.

100% Cotton sucks. It gets wrinkled.

100% Polyester blows. It doesn't breathe.

But marry the two together... say a 65/35 blend... and you've got a slick shirt.

100% cotton's problems are easily addressed by:
a) dry-cleaning
b) ironing
c) buying wrinkle-free cotton (not perfect, but close enough when it's new)

otherwise, yes, 65-35 is functional, but it has neither the crispness of dry-cleaning nor the breathability of cotton. i'll wear it if i'm low on laundry, but i never feel quite right in it.

actually, i go too far. the thinner stuff is perfectly ok for regular wear. but it's a more desirable in winter than summer.
