You know what? I really really really want a mini giraffe.

Just one that comes up to my hip. I am so SICK of this fucked up science never paying off.
Maybe I should become a scientist and do it myself, like Tara Reid.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR SCIENCE TO DO FOR YOU?

Nellie (nellskies), Monday, 14 February 2005 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

It could nibble on houseplants

Nellie (nellskies), Monday, 14 February 2005 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I almost started an identical thread myself the other day.

that baby giraffe is still too tall, it would proly be taller than I. I want a giraffe the equivalent of that mini elephant in the Loony Tunes cartoon where everybody sees it and freaks out.

Nellie (nellskies), Monday, 14 February 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

WELL

latebloomer: HE WHOM DUELS THE DRAFGON IN ENDLESS DANCE (latebloomer), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think I'm asking too much, just a giraffe of convience.
(It sounds like the title of an Oscar Wilde play)

Nellie (nellskies), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even the newborns are 2m tall. I spoke to my friend who is a bit of a self-taught GMO expert and he says he'll see what he can "grow" tonight after the regular lab staff goes home.

Paul Eater (eater), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I just glanced at that pic and and it looked like the baby giraffe had a really enormous misshapen head.

When I first met my (now ex) fiance we had this convo about mini giraffes, mini dolphins (keep in a fishtank!) and also macro-animals, like cat sized um... I dunno, hamsters or cool bugs or somehting.

I want a buggalo personally.

What I'd really like is one of those keychain plants they have over in Nippon.

Where's my robot maid? *checks watch, taps foot impatiently*

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 15 May 2005 02:53 (twenty years ago)

I'm waiting for science to develop and produce a reasonably inexpensive global communications network so that I can discuss with people I've never met before my life-long dream of owning my very own 12" high hydra...or cerebus....

StanM, Saturday, 13 June 2009 10:12 (sixteen years ago)

Aawww! Fuckin! This is like the time I heard about miniature horses, didn't believe they were real, but it turned out they WERE...only the exact opposite of that!! What a disappointment!

what u arrestin me for, innit (╓abies), Saturday, 13 June 2009 10:32 (sixteen years ago)

Weird, my friend J-E-Double-F collected hand drawn giraffes from people at raves in the late 90s. I'm gonna hafta track him down and let him know about this.

Like rabies, I am also disappointed.

what u arrestin me for, innit (╓abies), Saturday, 13 June 2009 12:08 (sixteen years ago)

Are you still awake? Is your sleep schedule that bad?

what u arrestin me for, innit (╓abies), Saturday, 13 June 2009 12:09 (sixteen years ago)

No, I slept but woke up already!! I think I got 6 hours of very interrupted sleep which means I will end up napping today and and then be up again tonight. Stress :-(. Also . . .

YES HE IS

(ps - his name is CUDDLES and he is a guide horse. He is wearing shoes so he doesn't hurt his feets when he is being awesome and helping people http://www.guidehorse.com/photo_page.htm)

sloth say hi to me (ENBB), Saturday, 13 June 2009 12:14 (sixteen years ago)

Serious advice: don't allow yourself a nap. Have a few drinks, force yourself to sleep at a reasonable hour (easier said than done!). Naps help ya get through the day and all but as a person who has dealt with insomnia for a very long time, allowing a nap has always enabled my poor sleeping habits (when I've actually been ABLE to nap, which is a whole other problem I guess). But maybe I'm just anti-nap cuz I always wake up from them with a headache.

P.S. One day when I win the lottery and buy a nice big house in the country I will have a pet miniature horse named Cigarettes. He will be the dopest.
