(a bit of creative writing banter)

The Bluebell Inn
You stand at the main bar in the tavern. The place is gloomy but strangely friendly and, thankfully, not overly crowded. Only a few people raise an eyebrow when you enter and they quickly return to their idle chatter with each other. North East from here people argue with the bartender trying to order their drinks. Over to the South of the inn is a small dimly lit dance floor, a couple of people are shaking their thing to Flock of Seagulls. To the north are the washrooms where a low ceiling must be negotiated at the entrance. You notice a raised section of the room to the West where a few of the more regular drinkers are lurking in the darkness and back to the East stands the main door.
You can see:
A bottle of Coroner [full]
A jukebox
Possible exits are: N, NE, E, S, W

The Office
You are sitting at a grey metal desk, with several computer monitors on it. There are also several piles of old backup CDs, network cards, and a book titled "Learn Lotus 1-2-3 For DOS In A Day". There are several large shelves along the sides of the room. On them, there is a large amount of half-dismantled computer equipment. On the floor are several cardboard boxes labelled "To be junked?" in black marker. To the north, there is a doorway and a window. Through the window, you can see another, larger office, with several desks and maps pinned to the wall. In the far distance, there is the suggestion of daylight.

You can see:
A phone
A computer keyboard
An empty coffee mug
A mobile phone charger

Possible exits are: N

A large office
You are in a sterile, white-walled open-plan office divided by a line of metal filing cabinets. A row of windows along the North wall look out onto a city street. A number of people sit at desks staring gloomily at computer monitors and chattering joylessly on phones. The general murmur is occasionally punctuated by the sound of irritating mobile phone ringtones.
You can see:
A filing cabinet
A laptop PC
A pen
A ring binder
A telephone
Exits are S,SE,W

USE PEN ON CABINET

(My hope is that I can lock-pick the cabinet with the pen. I'm sure I saw it in a WW2 film or something)

The Party
You are standing in the drawing room, where loud rock music can be heard. To your East are a lively bunch of middle aged people who are dancing to the Oasis drone. In the far corner lies wise Eddie, telling fellow party members of his tales of LSD trips and white outs. Compass Beer cans litter the floor and empty bottles of Maddog 20/20 are visible on the table nearby.
You can see:
A gun [loaded]
There are no possible exits.
