I'm halfway in a similar position - the new psychiatrist I saw recently thinks I'm bipolar, and has changed my drugs accordingly. I hope nothing bad comes out of this, Norman.

That's awful, Pashmina. I hope everything turns out okay.

Oh, I'm sure it'll be ok. Thanks, as well. # The consultant asked me if I was having any bother with the RA, and I told him that I'm tired all the time, and my dear wife mentioned that I get irritable quite easily, and he asked me a bunch of questions about moods and so on, then he made my an appointment w/my gp, to see where to go, or wtfe. He mentioned Bipolar as a strong possibility, and there is some family history of it. Then I went and had my hands and feet x-rayed. It's probably the strangest hospital appointment I been to, really.

That sounds very strange indeed. I hope that everything works out alright.

But please be very suspicious of doctors who like to dish out diagnoses if you don't feel like they fit. "Tired and irritable all the time" can be a symptom of anything from a food intolerance to anaemia as well as mental illness so make sure that you check out all the options.

Yeepers, Pash. My best, hope all is well -- sounds like you've got a handle on it at least.

I have RA, and this happens to me quite often. But with me I think I get irritable because of being tired all of the time, etc.
