Go ahead, what are you trying to prove anyway? Who do you think you are? why do you even bother!!??

as for me, i'm just trying to get thru life without hitting anyone. and i would also like to continue eating ice cream, drinking beer, and listening to records. and caring for my kid(s) and my beloved. that is all. the rest is gravy.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:29 (twenty years ago)

OMG, I'm a drunkard!!!

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:29 (twenty years ago)

Hey, you explained yourself! Handy! :-)

I would like to prove I could stop sneezing here in a bit. But sneeze some more I must, for I am ill.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:34 (twenty years ago)

Remy (hstencil tastes like bubble gum) (x Jeremy), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:36 (twenty years ago)

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:36 (twenty years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:37 (twenty years ago)

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:37 (twenty years ago)

Remy (yes) (x Jeremy), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:39 (twenty years ago)

He was a personage who abused substances while on ILX, but he was immature and manipulative, unlike your good self.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:40 (twenty years ago)

yeah, it wasn't meant to be mean. explanation sorta makes me sound like a dick, though. a pology for you, SS.

Remy (hstencil tastes like bubble gum) (x Jeremy), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:41 (twenty years ago)

Look, I never ASKED to be born, alright? It's bad enough I have to WORK this shitty job, and now you don't want me to COMPLAIN? Complaining is what I DO, Pancho, in fact I did it for a living once upon a time, but you wouldn't know that because you don't read magazines. Hell, you don't read ANYTHING. So sorry if i'm a 'complainer' - we can't all be complacent, satisfied-with-the-mundane workerdrones blah blah blah etc etc etc. Fuck you.

Overbite Tang now in Grape! (Roger Fidelity), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:41 (twenty years ago)

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:43 (twenty years ago)

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:43 (twenty years ago)

I think it was done before though, maybe?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:44 (twenty years ago)

I read magazines, Roger! All kinds. I subscribe to InStyle! Do you know Jim Goad in person? What is he like? What a weirdo.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:44 (twenty years ago)

I've never even been to Portland, Scott!

I like it when you drink

Roger Fidelity (Roger Fidelity), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:50 (twenty years ago)

I've never hit anyone in my life. Even when hit. I believe in the tiny ripples create tidal waves view of life. the fluttering of a butterfly's wings creating a tsunami kinda thing. i'm a big krishnamurti fan.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:56 (twenty years ago)

i'd hit somebody who hit you Scott. but careful with the karmic philosophies lest somebody think yr an Ashton Kutcher fan. Me, I dig Jack London.

Roger Fidelity (Roger Fidelity), Friday, 18 February 2005 02:59 (twenty years ago)

jack london hated jack johnson though. he couldn't take the black champ idea. white fang rulz though. jack was a freek. ashton is a weirdo. why give up yer studly ways for demi, you know? demi is a dunce.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 18 February 2005 03:06 (twenty years ago)

(don't write it don't write it) There are two good arguments for Demi Moore. (damn I wrote it)

The Obligatory Sourpuss (Begs2Differ), Friday, 18 February 2005 03:08 (twenty years ago)

me and my sister used to call demi "jackie templetits" when she was on general hospital. cuz her name was actually jackie templeton. oh, how we laughed and laughed.

The Obligatory Sourpuss (Begs2Differ), Friday, 18 February 2005 04:05 (twenty years ago)

The Obligatory Sourpuss (Begs2Differ), Friday, 18 February 2005 04:25 (twenty years ago)

GOD CAN YOU GIVE ME ANOTHER DRIN KALREADY? PUTTING UP WITH YOU PEOPLE JESUS.

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Friday, 18 February 2005 04:26 (twenty years ago)

I have severe ADD, trouble with impulse control, and was raised in a very weird family of Jehovah's Witnesses until I was about 11. I grew up in a trailer. I was abandoned by my father and molly-coddled by my mother. My grandmother, who also raised me, is a brazenly manipulative terror of a human being. I'm broke and my life is mostly a wreck.

Still, I'm pretty happy most of the time, and I don't feel like I need to explain that.

Fish fingers all in a line (kenan), Friday, 18 February 2005 06:03 (twenty years ago)

I've never met anyone else who has suffered, not to mention overcome, from age seven on, similarly extreme financial and bizarre circumstantial obstacles as what I went through. The lingering cognitive dissonance resulting from these struggles produces an outlook that makes me mistrust and envy easy going, confident, sarcastic people. It is a strange way to live.

I was a puppet built out of styrofoam cups by an elderly Italian gentleman, until Nipsy Russell granted my wish and made me a real boy. I dropped out of school to found my own orange soda distillery, but a cold winter and a swarm of cartoon skeletons diminished my crops and I had to sell out to the South Koreans. I then invented an affordable telephone made of wax paper and bees-wings, sold the rights to James Cameron, and I moved to Kalamazoo to live off of my substantial earnings. I married Mr. Buttersworth, a middle school principal, in 1982, and we've been living in a hollowed-out weeping willow tree on a hill in a churchyard ever since.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 18 February 2005 21:23 (twenty years ago)

i really don't think i can explain myself.

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 18 February 2005 21:24 (twenty years ago)

I don't think I can explain some things I can look at objectively, so I'm not going to have much luck with a mirror.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 18 February 2005 21:28 (twenty years ago)

"It occured to me that I'd been driving all over the country, searching for my asshole like Coyote, when all I really needed was a good mirror." (paraphrased quote from the student autobio road trip movie by my college roommate, who is now a respected micro-indie documentarist)

I activate testicular bravery for myself, and if anyone else likes it, that's a bonus.
