When you dream Encounters With The Rich and Famous?

Is this just me? I'm not infatuated with the rich and/or famous, but quite often I dream of having some meaningful conversation about myself with some famous person. Last time, it was John Lydon.

My take is more or less that the person is more a cypher for a part of my psyche/personality that may or may not be getting as much information or 'air' as they feel they should.

Back when Amber was born, i remember Mike Read the DJ (who I have met a few times in real life when he was a DJ at our local radio station), who was all 'oh avoid getting tied down to responsibilities' and I was 'you are so wrong'.

The two celeb threads knocking around, prompted me onto this one.

So, is it just me?

Surely you read my John McLaughlin dream?

I've had a dream about having a chat to beck before, but it was pretty dull so i won't repeat it.

Sorry if you've read this before, but:

1. I had a drink with John McLaughlin of the Mahavishnu Orchestra (so this is more of an ILM dream than an ILX dream)

2. Me and my brother went to see the premier performance of John's new piece - which was about Ruth Ellis (you know, the last woman to be hanged in Britain) but was entitled "June Walter Ellis".

3. The performance took place in a shop with the "musicians" sitting behind counters.

4. They did a version of "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand, another song was written by... Brian Auger!

5. As the last piece of music started, a spotty bespectacled nerd stood up in front of the stage/counter and started offering a critique of the night's performance - saying it was regrettable Mr. McLaughlin was not playing "more notes" and, bemoaning the fact that he was no longer playing "skinhead funk", stated, "Playing six notes endlessly - no matter how well played - is not sufficient." (maybe it was Geir?)

6. Part of the performance involved Madonna getting her head shaved.

7. The music consisted of really powerful and melodic feedback drones which "John McLaughlin" was controlling by means of pedals. He did not have a guitar.

8. The rest of the music was coming from a device which was being attended to by several earnest young men - this device, frankly, was a laser printer.

9. I said to my brother, "Can you guess what age he is?" My brother said "34", but it was obvious he was referring to a piece of musical equipment and not to John McLaughlin.

I had a dream last night that I was on "I'm A Celebrity", it was weird. The only celeb I remember was Kylie, but I talked to Ant and Dec also. Kylie was very friendly and nice, she said she wasn't happy with the cover design of her new album, I said it was pretty good. Then I woke up, cold and alone, and not on TV.
