For me, I'd have to say The Iron Giant.

(BTW, Thanks to Girolamo for a great job!)

There's a good handful of films on this list that I haven't seen, but several of them I was already planning on seeing anyway (Goodfellas and The Thin Red Line are both in my Netflix queue) -- so yeah, Iron Giant is probably one. And Heat. And I'd like to see Dazed and Confused again, because it made positively no impact on me the first time, so I'd like to see what I was missing. (This is true to a lesser extent with both Election and Rushmore, which I saw more recently but must've only half-watched or something.)

Chunking Express. I mentioned that on the other thread. I haven't seen it, and I don't know why the hell not. Also, In The Mood For Love is playing Saturday at 8 at the Siskel Film Center, and I'll prolly go to that.

Which is an invitation to join me, as well.

Chunking, Iron Giant.

Ratcatcher. I'd never heard of it. Its one of the three or four I hadn't seen, which is pretty sad I guess.

Crumb

Mike O. (Mike Ouderkirk), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 06:19 (twenty years ago)

Goodfellas, Election

Iron Giant is okay, but was quite overrated in the poll. As animated flicks go, it's better than say Finding Nemo or Shrek, but not as good as The Secret of NIMH or Spirited Away.

The one I'm probably most likely to see now is Being John Malkovich - but I've been planning to see that at some point anyway.

Already saw fucking amal aka show me love because of this. Which was pretty great. Also put some others in ye olde netflix queue, such as groundhog day and some asian flix.

I am tempted to get boogie nights, but I have resisted for so many years already. I refuse to condone, tacitly or otherwise, the existence of marky mark wahlberg.
