maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 08:14 (twenty years ago)

"This movie was written by the same mastermind responsible for such classics as "Body Chemistry 4", "The Skateboard Kid 2" and "Poison Ivy: The New Seduction"."

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 08:15 (twenty years ago)

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:06 (twenty years ago)

ahh and now 'party all the time' is on vh1 classic

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE JUST LET ME SLEEP

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:24 (twenty years ago)

let's all sing

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:24 (twenty years ago)

girl i can't understand it
why you wanna hurt me

after all of the thiiiinnnnngs i've donnne for you

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:25 (twenty years ago)

you know i think this song is sort of unfairly maligned

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:25 (twenty years ago)

i mean you strip the 1985 production and it's really neat, you know?

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:25 (twenty years ago)

ok and eddie murphy can't really sing

but i guess that is a rockist assessment of someone who had the unfortunate fate of being at the peak of his fame in the pre-pro tools era

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:27 (twenty years ago)

i mean could you imagine what technology could have turned 'party all the time' into? we're talking 'toxic' levels here

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:28 (twenty years ago)

ok it's over

i really should go to bed.
i also watched some of this. i love imdb's skinemax reviewers, because they are all so SERIOUS about the films they are discussing. it's so ... pre-snark!

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:29 (twenty years ago)

i mean 'this comment may contain spoilers' ... oh no, the surprise of 'they all have sex' is RUINED

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:31 (twenty years ago)

i just went to inquisitor.com for the first time (i assume more in the know ppl. always knew about this?) and i'm a little stoned so it is seriously TOO MUCH information. i can not understand what it is or where to begin... what is it?

scout (scout), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:32 (twenty years ago)

an old school webzine

you should really start here:
http://www.inquisitor.com/90210/

he wrote these amazing wrapups of 90210 for a while. television without pity totally ripped off and dumbed down his style, and made money off it. (sing it after me ... ass-hoollllles)

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:35 (twenty years ago)

there are so many. i have been craving 90210 for a while now. there's a guy who sells home-made dvds of the whole series (10 seasons!!) for $250 off the internet.

scout (scout), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:52 (twenty years ago)

$250! that isn't bad. wait it's not out on dvd yet?? for serious?? that's nuts

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:58 (twenty years ago)

ok btw this thread i think is the most i've posted on ilx (yes that includes the baseball board) since like november '01

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 09:59 (twenty years ago)

well it's the most i've posted ever, i mostly lurk. but yeah, it's not out on dvd yet, i dunno what that's about.

scout (scout), Thursday, 24 February 2005 10:14 (twenty years ago)

wait wait the NEW YORKER interviewed JAIME PRESSLY!!?!

is that on-line still?

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 24 February 2005 13:26 (twenty years ago)

alas, no. it was by rebecca mead -- maybe it'll show up on her web site soon?

maura (maura), Thursday, 24 February 2005 14:11 (twenty years ago)

Aw, this is the best thread on ilx in a long time. I'm sorry I don't have showtime now.

Leon the Fatboy (Ex Leon), Thursday, 24 February 2005 14:13 (twenty years ago)

I was posting on the mediarama/inquisitor boards when they were populated by TWP regulars.

this movie sounds like the stuff discussed on this thread: I DOWNLOADED A GHOST

KISS TOMORROW GOODBYE

A Nightmare He'll Never Forget.

In the early morning hours on a deserted Los Angeles beach, Dustin, a tuxedo-dressed, bottle-clutching film executive awakens alongside the body of a dead woman. Minnow, a homeless man, approaches Dustin and tells him that he witnessed him kill the girl, but he’ll “take care of it” if Dustin agrees to “take care of him”. Minnow shows up at Dustin’s home and begins taking over. He wants everything that Dustin’s has, including his girlfriend Darcy. When the body turns up alive and a blackmail scheme is revealed, Dustin tries to turn the tables on Minnow. A struggle ensues and Dustin accidentally kills the girl… The blackmail begins again, this time in earnest.
