Hartford, CONNECTICUT? If he is, have him e-mail me and tell me how he's doing it. After 8 PM, the place is a ghost town. (By the way, there's a lovely little Pakistani restaurant on Franklin Avenue he might want to check out. It's quite good - the pumpkin puree is excellent.)

If you're looking for a bookstore in Hartford, you're SOL. (At least, I THINK you are.) There are plenty of Borders & Barnes & Nobles within driving distance, though.
