green tea is also the only good flavour of those Sobe drinks. if only they'd drop 75% of the sugar, I'd probably drink it constantly.

OTM!!! that stuff was such a disappointment, horrible artificial-tasting vanilla flavor.
I do like the Tazo Green with Ginger very much, I like anything with ginger though.
the green tea I have in the house right now is Salada green tea with purple antioxidants, I'm not sure how much I buy into all that stuff but green tea + blueberries is hard to argue with!

Oh, and Ten Ren is relatively easy to find loose green tea that is pretty good. Or so says my acupuncturist/herbalist.
And JBR otm about blueberries. A few years ago, IIRC, Time magazine did a story on the 5 best foods for people to eat and they were one of them.

If you can find a supplier of Yorkshire or Clipper you'd have a good reliable standard. Yorkshire has the added benefit of being available in both hard and soft water blends as caitlin mentions.
Failing finding a good bagged one (and without knowing what's available I can't really help), I have a great tea glass with a drop in strainer which I use at work which I got at Muji but I'd imagine a lot of japanese stores might have something similar. You can also get all manner of one cup infusers for loose tea.

I love dragonwell green tea, although its expensive. I don't have a single consistant vendor.
Also classic: green tea ice cream milk shakes.

Ten Ren teas are awesome; their jasmine especially is gorgeous.
All the white teas I've had have been really good - but then they weren't flavoured and tended to be presents from people who knew about tea, so.

I have always been a coffee drinker and ony bought my first ever tea just the other day. I got:
Bigelow English BreakfastOne World Earl GreyTwinings Red Blush (decaf)
I've only had the English breakfast with a bit of cream & lemon and I think I actually like it.
My wife, an occasional tea drinker, says the Red Blush isn't too bad either.
I will have to try some of the green.

i bought this today and am having a not very pleasant cup of it at the moment. it tastes too bitter and is giving me that dry yukky aftertaste you get from overinfused black tea. i decided to get it after having a lovely green tea in wagamama today, that one was clean and almost vegetable tasting.
i like Rooibos too.

I'm liking green tea atm. Cut out normal tea and coffee completely.
I think I like it mainly coz it's a warm beverage that fills the (massive) void of no tea or coffee.

I finally started drinking green tea again (after going to Tokyo for two weeks). My crazy young kid, who dislikes 99 procent of all foods, loved drinking green tea. I only gave sips cause she's only 18 months old.

gave up coffee earlier this year after thirty-six years or so of daily, greatly-loved overindulgence - replaced it with tea, and some months later I'm having one of those extended middle-aged moments where I'm just immensely satisfied by a personal decision that's of no consequence to anybody else. how lovely tea is! how varied! how ready to subtly alter the primary colors of your day! there were several tea threads but as I'm drinking a green tea with jasmine flowers this morning I picked this one, however from another thread please enjoy this poem.
Snow Water
A fastidious brewer of tea, a teaConnoisseur as well as a poet,I modestly request on my sixtiethBirthday a gift of snow water.
Tea steam and ink stains. Single-Mindedly I scald my tea pot andMeasure out some Silver Needles Tea,Enough for a second steeping.
Other favourites include ClearDistance and Eyebrows of LongevityOr, from precarious mountain peaks,Cloud Mist Tea (quite delectable)

I applaud the fact that you managed to quit coffee altogether, not in the least because the mere concept of doing so breaks my brain.
― lbi's life of limitless european glamour (Le Bateau Ivre), Tuesday, 2 October 2018 12:33 (seven years ago)
it wasn't super hard, which was surprising to me - Mrs. Crawford & I used to drink a pot after dinner nightly - I just cut it down to a morning cup at first, and then eliminated that - I didn't resolve to quit, I just had tea instead one morning. It was unsatisfying at first! and then as the new habit established itself it became like a new hobby, all sorts of new things about it to learn! also, in the age of the internet, exploring many different kinds of tea from all over the world is easy - the collector/trainspotter itch is scratched real nice by something like "oh, here's the second harvest of this particular green tea," etc
