I've had this Mini DV camera for about 9 months now, and the other day I realised that if I'm going to get my money's worth, I'd best do something interesting with it.

I'll update this thread over the next couple of months as I play with various editing and shooting techniques, partially to show off and partially to motivate myself to push forward. If you have any ideas for something I might persue, by all means suggest away.

Here are my first two little experiments, which I did last week:

Quicktime is required. I'll post the videos first and then discuss them later, so as not to ruin the surprise.

(I'm not pretending these are at all fantastic or anything - just me fumbling around basically)

Here's one.

Daisychain your camera to connect, through an external HD, to a computer. Then try to capture the video from the camera onto the external HD. You'll get some wicked colorful pixel static.
