How close are you to achieving "I Love Everything"? What do you not love?

I guess nobody here can truly say, without reservations, that they "Love Everything". Or maybe some can. In either case, at a guess, how much of Everything do you love?

Not how much you love everything, but just a percentage of things that pass the threshold of "Love". And what are the things that don't make the grade for you?

I think I love a reasonably large proportion of things. Maybe 96%. I don't think I used to love this much, but I've learnt to love things a lot more. I've just been thinking about everything, and whether I love it or not, and hell, I do love most of everything.

Some things I don't love:
- making bad choices when i should have known better
- (self) insecurity
- cancer/debilitating diseases
- lack of Newcastle Brown Ale in a pub. (but that's really just a love of Newccy Brown)
- waiting for 10 minutes for chips (but I love chips)

I love almost everything currently. I just wish I had some money to love. I know, it's the root of all evil, but it's also the root of all shopping, rent, travel and general fun.

alix (alix), Thursday, 3 March 2005 13:29 (twenty years ago)

I hate being poor, but then again, I hate doing some shitty work to make my living. Unfortunately, these seem to be my only options at the moment.

Paul Ess (Paul Ess), Thursday, 3 March 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

jbr: nothing wrong with the Pacific, I just don't love it. I'm an Eastern creature and have seen the West Coast maybe twice.

And I've nothing against television, it just doesn't really fit into my life.

Everybody I know has said to me something along the lines of, "I know you don't watch much television, but I just know you'd like [Buffy/Simpsons/Six Feet Under/Picket Fences/Wonderfalls/Lost/whatever]." If I only watched the "one show worth watching" of everybody who told me that, I'd have no time to do anything else.

So it just seems like a chore to spend the time to get to know the premise, the characters, the running gags, etc., only to find out that no, I still don't need this in my life.

I don't love anything

I met a man today
He told me something pretty strange
There's always someone saying something
He said "The world is as soft as lace"

But I don't love anyone...
