You've moved back from Japan recently then momus? BTW that documentary on body parasites you were in was on TV here in Aus last night. Fascinating stuff!

Fish fingers all in a line (kenan), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:40 (twenty years ago)

um, what's so scary-looking about that subway station pic? I think the tiles are actually kind of nice.

x-post. .is that what's scary about it?

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:44 (twenty years ago)

it's the green tint (which is not a camera filter btw)

plus the dead homeless men, and birds (NOT PICTURED)

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:46 (twenty years ago)

eh. . .still not scary. ;)

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:47 (twenty years ago)

You've moved back from Japan recently then momus?

Yeah, I was messing about in some university there, but just for two months. Berlin is where I live most of the time, including now.

BTW that documentary on body parasites you were in was on TV here in Aus last night. Fascinating stuff!

Yeah, I heard they were screening that there. It's been shown all over Europe and in Russia. Millions of people have seen it. I now get recognised more for that documentary than for my records.

Momus (Momus), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:49 (twenty years ago)

anthony easton (anthony), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:55 (twenty years ago)

haha Sam you get used to it, yeh. The only scary thing about that subway station to me now is that the only access to it is via elevators...so if shit does go down, you can't get out. the stairwell is padlocked. I dislike that :\

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Friday, 4 March 2005 06:59 (twenty years ago)

um, what's so scary-looking about that subway station pic? I think the tiles are actually kind of nice.

Yeah I perhaps shouldve been clearer - I love the look of the NYC subways... the old tiled signs, the sense of history etc. And that one looks nice from that POV but I dunno... yeah maybe it is the lighting as Ally says but something about it looks.. deserted and spooky.

I like that mind you! www.forgotten-ny.com is a fave site of mine.

That body snatchers parasite documentary was possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen on TV.

My brother described one of those programmes to me. Is this the one where the guy is in the restaurant and the parasite comes out of the hole in his head?

Was Momus in that? What was he doing?

Yeah, that's the one. I come after the man who deliberately swallows a tapeworm and the man who pulls his brain out through his nose. I'm talking about having bugs in my eye.

As of two weeks from now I'll be moving into a large one-bedroom apartment with my girlfriend, in the South-East-ish end of downtown Toronto. It's a jump up from my current place - a basement bedroom in a shared house. The new place is just a few blocks up the road, so I won't have to shake up my whole routine - I can still walk to the day job and to the studio where I do my freelance work. I'm psyched!
