o man i was just in hospital with a guy who had fuxored his liver as a twenty something and now - having had his whole gut ripped open and huge globs of cancer removed in an 9 hour operation - had to walk around with a colostomy bag which relentless filled up with blood.

oh nasty. and sad.

my friend's mum (who is only in her early 50s) just had to have a hip replacement, and the nurse accidentally burst the catheter bag all over her bed just after the op. talk about rubbing salt in the wound!

my sister had cancer when she was a baby on her spine. the docs messed up and cut a nerve, therefore damaging her bladder. She's been catherizing herself for 20 years and will have to for the rest of her life. yep, they suck.

Dude at IT told us last Fri that he once had a 24-hr LAN Warcraft session with a catheter attached to his wang. Sad but true.
